## How scoring works (plain language)

Breakflare blends many optional signals (trending lists, social volume, community and video mentions, search interest, news, whale flows, on-chain activity, derivatives context, and related market data) into daily cross-sectional percentile scores. No single source is required; if a feed is unavailable, remaining signals still produce a score.

**Tier 1** covers all top-200 coins with keyless or low-cost feeds: trending and attention lists, turnover, price and market-cap change, band enrichment, and related market context.

**Tier 2** runs deeper social and catalyst coverage on the full breakout band (~150 coins, ranks 51-200 minus stablecoins): community, video, and search signals, news batches, catalyst discovery, optional technical analysis, and whale feeds when configured.

- **Hype score**: weighted blend of how strong each signal is relative to other coins that day.
