Trading agent / Guide

Binance trade-only API keys

Live Breakflare trading agent needs a trade-only Binance key on your own account. Breakflare never holds your funds. Withdraw-capable keys are rejected.

Prerequisites

  • Plus for live fills ($29/mo or yearly). Compare plans on the pricing page.
  • Credits topped up in the app for live orders (pay-as-you-go; live pauses at $0).
  • Paper mode works without any exchange keys on every plan, including Free.

Open Binance API Management

Sign in at accounts.binance.com (or your regional Binance host), then open Binance API Management directly: binance.com/en/my/settings/api-management . You can also reach it from your account menu → API Management. Create a new API key for Breakflare; do not reuse a key you already share with other apps.

Label the key for Breakflare

Give it a clear label such as Breakflare-live so you can revoke it later without guessing which key is which.

Disable withdrawals

Turn off Withdraw (and any permission that can move funds out of the account). Breakflare only needs to place spot orders within your rules. Keys that allow withdrawals are rejected at connect time.

Enable spot trading only

Enable Spot & Margin Trading (or the spot-trading permission your Binance UI shows). Do not enable futures, transfers, or universal transfer unless you understand the extra risk; Breakflare live agent is spot-first. For Binance spot API reference, see developers.binance.com/docs/binance-spot-api-docs .

Optional: restrict by IP

If Binance lets you set an IP allowlist, you can leave it open for first connect, or restrict it later once you know which egress IPs Breakflare uses. An allowlist that blocks Breakflare will fail verification until you update it.

Copy key and secret once

Binance shows the secret only at creation. Copy both the API key and secret into a password manager, then paste them into Breakflare. Never email keys or put them in chat.

Paste into Breakflare Settings

In the app, open Settings → Trading agent , paste the key and secret, and connect. Breakflare verifies the key is trade-only (withdrawals off) before storing it encrypted at rest.

What Breakflare rejects

At connect time, Breakflare checks Binance API restrictions. If the key allows withdrawals, connection fails with a clear error: create a new trade-only key with Withdrawals disabled and try again. Keys without spot trading enabled are also rejected.

Safety notes

  • Use a dedicated key for Breakflare. Revoke it anytime from Binance API Management if you stop using live mode.
  • Never enable withdrawal, internal transfer, or universal transfer on this key.
  • Live trading can lose money. Paper mode stays free and never places exchange orders.
  • Breakflare never holds your balances. Orders route to your own Binance account within the rules you set.
  • This guide is informational. It is not financial advice. You are responsible for your own keys and trades.

After you connect

Set or review rules on the trading agent page (score floor, size, stop-loss, take-profit, kill switch), top up credits, then enable live only when you intend to. You can stay in paper forever.
